Our Journey in Malaysia

NITORI’s journey in Malaysia is not one that begun on the spur of the moment. In truth, this is not NITORI's debut in Malaysia, as we have been building a solid relationship with this country for the past 20 years. Today, Nitori has expanded to more than 650 stores worldwide, but we started product development in Malaysia when we had about a mere 50 stores.

From our first visit 20 years ago to today, we have curated many products for Japanese consumers all over the world, and at present, we are proud to have produced around 1,300 items. NITORI exports 1,300 items, which is close to 8 million units a year, from Malaysia.

We also participate in Malaysia's largest furniture exhibition, the Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF), every year, where more than 20 buyers from Japan visit to scout for high quality products.
